Our cat had an episode of strange behaviour last week. She was inspecting, scanning, staring and meowing at a particular area of the east wall of our home for quite a while. I discovered only today that she may have reacted to the subtle vibrations and noise caused by the expansion of a major crack on the outside wall of our building.

I discovered what looks like a fresh crack on the far side of the building. It is located just above our master bedroom window and we understand it is in the area most under stress from vibrations caused by buses and HGV's traversing the crossing adjacent to our home.

An article on Independent.ie just made me aware about the return of a planning application for 219 homes on Kilgarron Hill. The application was one of those that gave rise to the public meeting organised by @SaveEnniskerry earlier in January.

In February a new pothole opened up in front of our premises. I was amazed to find that the hole got filled up only two weeks after my discovery. Yet still no remediation for the key issues in sight.

Concerns as planning applications skyrocket

A public meeting on proposed developments, totalling short of 600 new units in the village, has received public media coverage as the event saw attendance from about 120 community members.
