We took up residence at our current place in 2018. We enjoyed peaceful and happy times - until early 2021. With the return of regular public transport and construction activity due to the first lift of lockdown restrictions, peace was soon replaced by property damage and fear.

I first reached out to Bray Municipal for help in May 2021. Here is the letter I sent:

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I herewith bring to your attention and am seeking your help with regards to increasing damage caused by traffic and road conditions to the property

From what I believe to understand this is one of the original buildings that form the heart of the Victorian village.

My partner and I live in the village for almost 15 years now and are tenants in fore-mentioned property for over four years.

We are experiencing an ever increasing force of tremors from HGV and bus traffic lately whilst in the property. For the past weeks the situation has worsened to an extend where our sleep is disrupted as we are shaken in our beds whilst busses 44 & 185 pass by the property until shortly past midnight, as well as an HGV traversing the village several times a week at approx. 3:30 am in the morning. On top of the bus traffic, during daytime we are frequently counting over a dozen of tremors an hour from HGV's heading to nearby construction sites or serving nearby locations.

I believe to understand that the increasing force of tremors is caused by heavy vehicles

• hitting/dropping from the ramps installed at the crossing
• hitting badly refitted man holes post work carried out on behalf of utility companies that serve the area

As a result we not only experience a considerable drop in quality of life by interrupted sleep as well as from pieces of debris dropping from walls and ceilings - as a layman I am starting to get worried that further damage may lead to serious injury some day.

I cannot recall that the property would have displayed signs of structural stress when we moved in years back. At this stage though, considerable signs of stress can be seen in every room throughout the building - whilst we still continue to discover new cracks.

Could I please ask for your help to prevent risk of serious damage and injury.

Please protect us from harm as it is becoming evident that the village and road network cannot cope with current levels and nature of traffic, which seem to be set to worsen further due to evermore increasing construction work being scheduled around the village.
